Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

DT Cleaning is a window, eavestrough, and exterior cleaning company based at 7 Inverleigh Dr, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 3E4, serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through dtcleaning.ca and in the course of our work, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Who is responsible for your information

Dmitriy Trubnik, owner of DT Cleaning, acts as our Privacy Officer and is accountable for how we handle personal information. You can reach him at info@dtcleaning.ca or (647) 558-8411 with any privacy question, request, or concern.

What we collect

We collect four kinds of information:

  • Contact and quote details. Your name, phone number, email, and service address when you call, message us on WhatsApp, or fill out a form on this website.
  • Service records. Notes about the work done at your property, dates, pricing, invoices, and photos of the areas we clean or repair.
  • Payment details. Payments are made by e-transfer or through our payment provider. We do not store credit card numbers on our systems or on this website.
  • Website data. Standard technical information collected automatically when you visit: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, the search or referral source that brought you here, and cookies. Details are in the cookies section below.

Why we collect it

We use your information to prepare quotes, schedule and perform the work, invoice you, answer your questions, and keep basic business records. Separately, and only with your consent, we use some information for marketing: sending occasional service reminders or showing our work in case studies. We collect only what these purposes need, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

This website uses cookies and similar identifiers for three purposes:

  • Site functions. Our hosting and caching (LiteSpeed) set technical cookies that make pages load correctly. These are necessary for the site to work.
  • Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: which pages get read, how people find us, and where the site can improve. Google explains how it handles this data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
  • Advertising. We run Google Ads and use its conversion tracking and remarketing cookies, which may show you our ads on other websites based on your earlier visit here. We also use the Meta Pixel, which shares limited visitor event data with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for the same purpose.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time: Google ads at Google Ads Settings, Meta ads in your Facebook ad preferences, and most ad networks through YourAdChoices Canada. To block Google Analytics entirely, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may be less convenient.

Our contact forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and interaction data to tell people apart from bots and prevent abuse. reCAPTCHA is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Some pages may also contain embedded content such as YouTube videos or Google Maps, which can set their own cookies when you interact with them.

Job photos and case studies

Our technicians photograph the areas they work on. These photos document the job, support quality control, and back up our invoices. Some of them later appear in case studies on our blog and social media. When we publish job photos, we do not publish your name, street address, house number, or anything else that identifies you or your property, and we only feature a project in marketing with the homeowner’s agreement. If a photo of your property has been published and you want it taken down, email info@dtcleaning.ca and we will remove it.

Your consent and how to withdraw it

When you ask us for a quote or book a job, you consent to the collection and use of the information needed to deliver that service. Consent for anything beyond the service itself, such as marketing use of photos or promotional messages, is asked for separately. You can withdraw any consent at any time by emailing info@dtcleaning.ca or calling (647) 558-8411, subject to legal or contractual limits, and we will explain any consequences of the withdrawal before acting on it.

Emails and text messages

Under CASL, we send commercial emails or texts only to people who have given express consent or with whom we have an existing business relationship, such as a recent quote or completed job. Every commercial message we send identifies DT Cleaning, includes valid contact information, and contains a working unsubscribe option. Unsubscribe requests take effect within 10 business days, usually much sooner.

Who we share information with

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only what they need:

  • Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads, reCAPTCHA, and embedded services such as YouTube and Maps);
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising tools);
  • Our payment provider, for card payments;
  • Our website hosting provider, which stores form submissions.

We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it, for example in response to a subpoena, to investigate fraud, or to protect someone’s safety.

Where your information is stored

Our business records are kept in Canada. Some of the providers named above, including Google and Meta, process data on servers outside Canada, most often in the United States. Information stored there is subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers with strong published security and privacy practices.

How long we keep it

Customer and job records, including invoices, are kept for up to 7 years to meet Canadian tax and business record requirements. Website inquiries that do not become jobs are kept for up to 2 years, then deleted. Published job photos stay online until the featured client asks us to remove them or we retire the content.

How we protect it

This website runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to customer records is limited to the owner and the technicians who need them for scheduled work. We keep administrative, technical, and physical safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the information, and we review the third-party tools we use. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.

Your rights: access, correction, and complaints

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to see it, and to have it corrected if it is inaccurate. Send requests to info@dtcleaning.ca; we respond within 30 days. If you believe we have handled your information improperly, contact our Privacy Officer first and we will work to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at any time.

If a data breach happens

If a breach of our safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report the breach to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as PIPEDA requires, and we will keep records of any breach for at least 2 years.

AI tools

We use AI-assisted tools to help draft website content and analyze anonymous website statistics. Your personal information, customer records, and job photos are not used to train third-party AI models, and no decisions about your service or pricing are made by automated systems without a person involved.

Children

Our services and website are directed at homeowners and businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Our website links to outside resources, from Google reviews to industry references. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, so it is worth reading the policy of any site that asks for your information.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy when our tools, our services, or Canadian privacy law change, including any changes arising from Bill C-36, the proposed federal privacy legislation now before Parliament. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest revision. Meaningful changes will be flagged on this page rather than made silently.
